I purchased this because I bought my first gun and needed somewhere to keep it that is out of the reach of my kids. I only have one gun, if you have three or more there probably won't be enough room in this cabinet. The cabinet is made of sheet metal. It is made good and is sturdy. If someone was determined to get your guns, they could get into this eventually, but I don't think the cabinet will have any problems keeping your guns out of your kids hands. I like it because I can mount it between the studs in my wall. I put it behind a door that is always open. That way it is always easy to get to and hidden at the same time. The shelves for the inside are kind of cheap, but they'll work. Also, I am going to ditch the foam padding for the shelves and get something a little heavier duty. I got this for $77 shipped from Amazon. I looked for other cabinets in this price range, but found nothing. If you after after a cheap, basic, locking, in-wall cabinet, this is the one to get.
